Motor-cyclist’s Injuries Prove Fatal
ACCIDENT NEAR TAKAPAU Per Press Association. WAIPUKURAU, Last Night.
The death occurred during the night of Mr. Leon McCormick, aged 21, of 804 Oliphant road, Hastings, who suffered serious injuries early yesterday morning following a collision between a motor-cycle he was riding and a motor-car, on the Waipukurau-Taka-pau highway. An inquest will be held in Waipukurau to-morrow. Mr. McCormick suffered a broken collar-bone earlier this year when his motor-cycle collided with a stationary car in Heretaunga street, Hastings. Mr. Geo. Pratt, also of Hastings, a pillion passenger of Mr. McCormick in yesterday’s accident, is still in hospital. It was reported this morning that his •ondition Is slightly improved.
