For Local Body Elections in Palmerston The decision of the Palmerston North Labour Representation Committee to contest not only municipal but all local body elections is confirmed by the publication of full tickets for tho Hospital Board and Power Board as well as the Wellington and Foxton Harbour Boards. The selected candidates who will carry the banner of Labour at the poll next month have been announced as follows: Mayoralty— Mr. V, A. Christensen. Council — Mr. A. Bedingfield. Hon. M. Briggs, M.L.C. Mr. W. F. Cutler. Mr. J. Hodgens, M.P. Mr. C. R. Murphy. Mr. A. Penketh. Mr. P. T. Robinson. Hospital Board — Mr. J. Hodgens, M.P. Mr. V. A. Christensen. Mrs. A. Mason. Mr. W. F Cutler. Power Board— Hon. M. Briggs, M.L.C. Mr. J. Hodgens, M.P. Mr. A. Penketh. Wellington Harbour Board — Hon. M. Briggs, M.L.C. Foxton Harbour Board — Mr. J. Savage. An accompanying statement says:— The general policy of Labour candidates will be to assist, by full co-opera-tion with the Government, to implement the facilities and services that are being made available to the people of New Zealand to-day. The same ideals and the same ability that the Government 'has shown in the administration of national affairs is being tendered to the citizens of Palmerston North for the conduct of its civic affairs.
