The death of Mr. Hone Knyvett was referred to at last evening’s meeting of the Feilding Old Boys’ Club. “The late Mr. Knyvett was one of our most popular members on and off the field,” said Mr. D. Whisker, president, who said that his passing was a very severe loss to the club. Those present stood in silence iu recording their sympathy. Sympathy with tho passing of Messrs. E. Way, of Feilding, and E. Houlihan, of Palmerston North, enthusiastic supporters of tho club, was voted to the respective relatives at last evening’s annual meeting of the Feilding Old Boys’ Football Club.

Mr. D. Whisker was last evening elected a life member of the Feilding Old Boys’ Rugby Football Club. Speaking to the proposal Mr. J. G. Eliott (president) said that few knew the work Mr. Whisker had done in promoting the interests of the club and he heartily supported the proposal as an expression of the regard in which Mr. Whisker was held. The motion was carried unanimously and in returning thanks Mr. Whisker said that 'members had been most loyal to him as president.

In connection with the garden party to be held at the residence of Mr. C. F. Johnston, “Tho Pines,” Feilding, this afternoon, by the Feilding branch of the Women’s Division, donations of produce and fruit are solicited for the several stalls. The party is being held to help the division’s housekeeping fn-ds.
