Shannon Guides Parade To Church
For the first time for at least two years the Shannon Girl Guides hold a church, parade last Sunday. The Guides, sixteen in number, in command of Captain C. Picard, looked very smart in their uniforms as they entered in formation at Ven. Bedes' Anglican Church. The colours were presented to the officiating minister, Rev. (E. W. Burgin), following which the National Anthem was The' address was based on
one of tho Guide laws which is “A Guide is a friend to all and a sister to every other Guide," the story of Vincent do Baul being told as an illustration. “Be Prepared" specially written for Guides was sung at the conclusion of the service. Also present at this servico were the Sunday school children.
