Summer Golf at Hokowhitu

GLENDINNING CUP SERIES CONCLUDED The competition at Hokowhitu during the week-end was a Stableford bogey handicap and it was the concluding event in the Glendinning Cup series. The course was fast and the greens inclined to be tricky, but there was some very good scoring. Tho A grade division was won by A. C. Anderson with a total of 35 points. Anderson won the bogey liandicap last week. Next on the list was Frank Murray, who was a winner after the sixteenth, but whose chances went astray when he “ blew up ’ ’ at the last two holes. E. R. Chapman, one of the most consistent players in the club, was equal third with C. J. Walsh and S. W. Rapley, and he won tho Glendinning Cup (A grade) with a total of 13 points. The Stableford B grade was won by M. Bright with a good score of 37 points and the winner of the Glendinning Cup (B grade) was won by A. Gill with a total of 16 points.
