Kowhai Ladies’ Cricket Club
TENNIS PARTY The home of Mr, and Mrs. R. A. McKenzie, Milson’s line, was the scene of a bright tennis party on Saturday afternoon when the members of the Kowhai Ladies’ Cricket Club were entertained by Miss Lois McKenzie.
A “Yankee” tournament was held, Misses H. Hills and J. Clout being the winning pair.
During afternoon toa the captain, Miss J. Christian, took the opportunity to thank, on behalf of the club, Mr. and Mrs. and Miss McKenzie for their kind hospitality. As a result of the function the club’s travelling fund benefited by an appreciable sum.
