Mr. and Mrs. P. J. Moran, of Wakeman street, have left Pahiatua for a holiday to be spent in Auckland. Friends of Mr. G. E. Gleeson, who at present is an inmate of the Tararua private hospital and has for the past month been on the seriously ill list, is now definitely improving. Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Lawry, who have been spending a holiday in New Plymouth, where Mr. Lawry attended the Fire Brigade Conference, are home again. Mrs. Reg. Cooper, of Mangaroa, is visiting her mother, Mrs. Mason, Hux- , ley street, Pahiatua.
