New Rotary Governor
MR. HUTCHISON, OF AUCKLAND Per Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. Mr. George W. Hutchison, a former Mayor of Auckland, was selected by the National Rotary Conference to-day as the new district governor of the New Zealand (53rd. > District of Rotary International, in succession to Mr. F. G. Hall-Jones. Mr. Hutchison’s name will be submitted to Rotary International. Mr. Hutchison was a foundation member of the Auckland Rotary Club in 1921 and was president in 1928-9. He is a C.M.G. and a Chevalier of the Legion of Honour of France. An invitation was extended by the Napier club to hold the next national conference at Napier. The conference was concluded to-day with addresses by Messrs. P. Stanley Foster, Christchurch; A. Guthrie, Dunedin; Rev. H. W. Newell, Wellington; Mr. James Hogg, Dunedin, and Rev. A. C.
