Camp at Dannevirke
OF SIGNALLERS AND ENGINEERS The Central Depot New Zealand Corps of Signals and the Second Field Company New Zealand Engineers, will arrive at Dannevirke to-day for two weeks’ training. Both units will camp at the racecourse. Major W. Ashbridge commands the Corps of Signals, and Major R. Beach is in. command of the engineers. Major F. Hunt, New Zealand Staff Corps, is also with the units to direct the tactical training, and Lieut, E. Howard, New Zealand Staff Corps, is camp adjutant. The Corps of Signals is composed entirely of employees of the P. and T. Department, and has several wireless and telegraph experts. The engineers have several tradesmen, such as electricians, plumbers, experts in explosives, etc. During the next fortnight Dannevirke residents will l*ave an opportunity of viewing the latest army motor vehicles. There are especially equipped wireless vans for working on the move, and cable lorries for laying lines*
