Women’s Institute
HUKANUI. The February meeting of the Women’s Institute was presided over by Mrs J. Sutherland. A talk was given by Mrs Paterson on her experiences abroad. • The competition for the best plain sponge was won by Miss E. Gardiner, there being only four entries. The best flower competition was won by Mrs A. Lawrence with Mrs F. Atkins 2 and Miss Q. Harrington 3. Nominations for the new committee were taken. Mrs Sutherland welcomed Miss Lawrence back after a prolonged absence. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames P. Goodin, Guy, Udy, and Harrington. Musical honours were accorded Mrs H. Paterson, and a musical parcel caused much amusemer*
