From Our Own Correspondent. The following are tne *lnal results of the local Tennis Club's competitions:— Ladies’ championship singles cup: Semifinals, Miss M. Nix beat Miss M. Witton 9—4; Miss E. Body beat Miss M. Morgan 9—3; final, Miss M. Nix beat Miss E. Boddy 9—5. Men’s championship singles: semi-finals, E. Norris beat V. Nix 5—6. 6—4, 6—2; A. Thomson boat L. Lancaster 6—2, 6—4; final, E. Norris beat A. Thomson 4—6, 6—4, 6—3. Ladies’ handicap singles (Pitt Cup): Semi-finals, Miss M. Nix beat Miss E. Hill 50—34; Miss A. Nix beat Miss N. Beattie 50—34; final Miss M. Nix beat Miss A. Nix 50—47.
• I Men’s handicap singles (Hill Cup):— Semi-finals: J. Thomson beat V. Nix 60— 43; L. Lancaster beat A. Thomson 60—57; final, J. Thomson beat L. Lancaster 60 —55. Combined doubles handicap (Lancaster Cups): Semi-finals, J. Thomson and Miss M. Witton won by default from A. Hill and Miss E. Boddy; A. Thomson and Miss V. Morgan beat V. Nix and Miss E. Hill | 60—41; final, A. Thomson and Miss V. Morgan beat J. Thomson and Miss M. Witton 60—54. Owing to rain on Saturday morning, both the A and B matches had to be cancelled.
