Britain Stronger Every Week
MEASURES FOR PEACE (British Official Wireless.) Received Sunday, 6.30 p.m. RUGBY, Feb. 19. Active measures for peace wefe described as part of the policy of the National Government by the Prime Minister, Mr. Neville Chamberlain, in a speech in his constituency. “We want, to see that the conflicts in Europe and the Far East do not spread, and we ourselves do not become involved,” ho said. “It is our duty to take active steps to remove what would cause another war.” Britain should be made so strong, he continued, that nobody would dare attack her. Every day weapons and equipment are being constructed which will make Britain stronger as every week goes by.
