White British Columbia

EXCLUSION BILL TALKED OUT United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Received Sunday, 6.45 p.m. OTTAWA, Feb. 19. British Columbia members unexpectedly revived the Exclusion Bill in the House of Commons, insisting that action was urgent. The Bill was talked out by four Government members. Mr. J. A. Glen expressed the opinion that Tokio would consider the exclusion of Japanese a blow to her national honour. This might lead to war, and the whole British Empire might be dragged in. Japan might invade Australia. Another member said he was convinced such a step would bring about the invasion of British Columbia. Twenty organisations headed by native sons of British Columbia ani native sons of Canada will launch an Asiatic Exclusion League petition to t Ottawa stating that the fear of jeopardising Canadian and Japanese relations is ridiculous.
