WEEK-END STRIKE IN AUCKLAND Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, Last Night. Wool, hide, grain and manure stores in Auckland were idle on Saturday as was the case a week earlier, following a decision of the storemen not to work on Saturday mornings at ordinary rates of pay. Representatives of both employers and the union stated that the position was unchanged but the secretary of the Auckland Storemen and Packers’ Union, Mr. W. Miller, announced that the men would be working to morrow morning as usual.
