Feilding Ewe Fair

Although the yarding at Friday’s fair was quite 25 per cent, down on last year’s fair trucking accommodation for the purchases over the week-end exceeded that of the previous year. Up till Saturday morning 95 trucks were required to rail away sheep from the fair. A further 23 t: rucks will be despatched this morning and another 26 to-morrow morning, makir g a total of 144 compared with 109 used for last year’s fair. Based upon the number of trucks engaged the number of sheep railed away from. Feilding from the fair wiu approximate 12,000, or round about 3000 short of half the yarding.
