Feilding Stock Sale

SMALL YARDING ON SATURDAY The weekly livestock sale at Feilding, held on Saturday, attracted a small entry of fat and store sheep, store and dairy cattle. Heavy rain fell throughout the sale and the business done was very small. For the quality of the entry values were firm. Quotations were as follows: — Fat sheep: 2-th woolly ewes, 28s; b.f. 2-ths, 24s to 275; wethers, 26s 6d. Store sheep: Wether lambs, 10s 6d, 13s lOd to 17s; woolly ewe lambs, 15s 6d; 2-th ewes, 26s lOd; aged breeding ewes/ 9s 5d to ,12s 9d. Store cattle: Cows. £3 16s to £3 17s; empty heifers, £2 17s 6d. ASHHURST SALE Dalgety and Company Limited, report a full yarding at the Ashhurst sale on the .16th instant of all classes of sheep and a small entry of cattle. There was a keen demand for all the stock offered, and we report a hundred per cent clearance at very satisfactory prices. Ltd., report an entry of 3900 sheep at the above sale on Thursday. There was an excellent attendance and the yarding comprised principally breeding ewes with a fair sprinkling of lambs. The ewe market was inclined to be easier, but lambs were considerably firmer than our previous sale and met firm competition ' right throughout. We passed several pens of ewes, but sold all our entry of lambs under the hammer. There was also a good entry of Tams which met only a fair market.
