Tour Ends Builders’ Visit to Palmerston

DELEGATES PLEASED WITH ARRANGEMENTS

The tour of the city and district arranged by the Manawatu Builders' Association for delegates attending the New Zealand Builders' Federation conference, was brought to a happy conclusion at Kowhai Park, Feilding, yesterday afternoon. The delegates with wives and friends made a party of about 100 who, on arrival at the park, were welcomed by Mr. T. Collins, Mayor of Feilding. Mr. W. A. Petrie (Tlmaru), president of the New Zealand Federation, and each of the delegates, expressed thanks to the Manawatu Association for the excellent arrangements that had been made for their entertainment and were generous in their praise of the beauty spots of Palmerston . North and district.

Mr. E. Anderson, president of the Manawatu Association, acknowledged the thanks and in turn thanked Mr. Collins for the reception, the Palmerston North City Council for the use of the council chambers for the conference, Mr. Jesse Selwyn for organising the tour, the Manawatu Racing Club, Union Airways, Massey College authorities, Automobile Association (Manawatu) and all others who had assisted to make the tour a success. He said it was easy to make a success of anything when a united effort was put forward. He hoped that when the delegates returned home they would have happy recollections of their short stay in Palmerston North.
