Indian Congress Rejects New Constitution

The working committee of the Congress Party passed a resolution rejecting the new Constitution. It declares that the Constitution, to be acceptable to the Congress Party, must be based on independence drawn up by tho people’s elected representatives without interference by a foreign authority.
An all-India meeting of the Congress Party is to open on February 19 to discuss the resolution.
