Empire Day Concert
TO FOLLOW JUBILEE EXAMPLE (British Official Wireless.) Received Friday, 6.30 p.m. RUGBY, Feb. 17. Their Majesties will attend a concert on Empire Day at Royal Albert Hall on the lines of that Given by George V’s command in 1935. It is their Majesties’ wishes that tho concert shall fulfil the same two objects as that of the Jubilee year—to exemplify and encourage the nation’s music making at its best and to benefit musicians in need. It is hoped to bo possible to Include a small contingent representative of the Dominions in the concert, which will be broadcast to the Empire.
