Car Destroyed by Fire
While proceeding home to Mangamaire on Thursday evening Mr. A. E. H. Kendall had the misfortune to lose his car when it caught fire. Proceeding along the Konini Station road Mr. Kendall smelt what he thought rubber burning and just as he turned to the left towards Mangamaire he stopped the car. Then suddenly a wall of flames shot up. It was fortunate that Mr. Kendall was able to escape, for in a few seconds the car was a blazing inferno. The car is a total wreck.
