Big Cricket in Sydney
TEST STARS IN ACTION Received Saturday, 1.15 a.m. SYDNEY, Feb. 18. The Australian cricket team, with the exception of Bradman and Badcock, was in action on the Sydney cricket ground to-day as part of the Anniversary celebrations prior to its departure next month for England. The teams were captained by McCabe and Riggs.
Riggs’ team in its first innings made 257—Rigg 58, Gregory 42, Robinson 53, E. White 52. Fleetwood-Smith took six for 106.
McCabe’s team, in its first innings, made 143 for the loss of five wickets— McCabe 11, Fingleton 24, Hassett 54, Chipperfield 36.
