AGREEMENT IN SIGHT (Special to “Times.") WELLINGTON, Last Night. Negotiations for tho inauguration of the trans-Tasman air-mail service have reached a stage where some finality is at last in sight, according to a statement made by the Minister of Finance (Hon. W. Nash) in an interview to-day. 44 We are nearer agreement at present than we have ever been," said Mr. Nash, who has been conducting the negotiations on behalf of the New Zealand Government. Mr. Nash said that the three Governments concerned —New Zealand, Australia, and Great Britain—were still exchanging views by cable. “The position is now so clarified," he explained, 4 4 that we should be able, at a very early date, to come to some agreement that will ultimately lead to a final decision for the preliminary stages from the Government’s point of view."
