The Chief Justice (Sir Michael Myers) will leave Wellington at the week-end for New Plymouth to preside over the criminal and civil sessions of the Supreme Court, which are expected to last about a week.

Lower Hutt Borough Council were extended to the chief inspector, Mr. J. Fletcher, on his appointment as a member of the examining board and an examiner for New Zealand for the Royal Sanitary Institute. It was both a personal honour and an honour to the council, saicl the Mayor, Mr. J. W. Andrews.
