Any member unable to go please ring B<3l. Surprise Party. The friends of Mr and Mrs C. Osborne, of Nansteads line, paid them a surprise visit prior to their leaving the district. .Mr W. T. Maxwell, on behalf of the company assembled, presented Mr and Mrs Osborne with a chiming clock, tit the same time wishing them every success in their new home. Mr and Mrs O.Hborno have disposed of their property and have taken over a farm near Parewanui. Lulls. Social Afternoon, A very enjoyable card and social afternoon was held recently by the Anglican Ladies' Guild. Mrs Pedersen welcomed Mrs Farnell, the new vicar’s wife, and little Joan Pedersen presented her with a bouquet on behalf of the Guild members. Thme winners of the card tournament were Mrs Jepson, Senr., 1. Mrs G. Jepson. Junr., 2. Mrs Farnell was the winner of the mystery parcel. Those who contributed items were: Miss R. Donald (pionaforte solo); Miss Hill (Ashhurst), (vocal solo); Miss R. Clark, (pianoforte eolo); Miss D. Faulkner (dance).
