From Our Own Correspondent. Young Farmers' Club. Mr K. Guthrie presided over a very good attendance at tho monthly meeting of the Young Farmers’ Club on luesday evening. Speakers were Mr A. Lawson Kimbolton, who gave helpful advice on conducting a meeting, and Mr Thevenard. Considering this was the latter s first appearance as a public speaker, it reflects great credit on him for the very good address he gave. His subject was "Pig Management," and his talk was very interesting and at times rather entertaining. A most instructive meeting concluded with votes of thanks to the speakers and tho chairman, followed by supper. _ General. Each only fielding 12 men, the junior football team met and defeated the Kim bolton team by 26 points to nU. Piayin at Apili, the senior team continued then unbeaten record by winning their same by 14—11. Also playing at Apiti, tno schoolboys were severely beaten. Mr and Mrs P. H. Thompson and the Misses R. and M. Thompson are on a tour of the Rotorua and Tauranga di Mra A. Price, Oliingaltl. who lias been an inmate of a private hospital, Taihape, fs now staying with relatives in this district and her friends will be pleased to learn Ke is making most satisfactory progress towards recovery.
