OVER A MILLION INCREASE. *Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An interim return of the sheep in the Dominion on April 30, 1937, with the final return for 1936 in parentheses, is contained in the Gazette issued to-night. North Island: Total, 17,015,013 (16,371,844); increase, 643,169. South Island: 14,195,721 (13,741,860); increase, 453,861. Total for the Dominion: 31,210,734 (30,113,704); increase, 1,094,030. A total of 1,692,610 mutton carcases was exported in 1937 for the year ended April 30, and 8,440,630 carcases of lamb.
