Union Airways’ Auckland Service
PALMERSTON NORTH CONNEG- ! TIONS Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 4. A request for an alteration in the proposed schedule of Union Airways’ Auckland-Wellington service, to be inaugurated on June 2G, is contained in a letter sent to-day by the president of tho Auckland Chamber of Commerce, Mr. W. R. Fee. The letter points out the need for the provision of a one-dav service from Auckland to Christchurch and Dunediu. It states that the fact thst the north-bound plane will connect at Palmerston North with a plane for Dunedin, thus providing a one-day service from Soutih Island centres to Auckland, has given the Chamber great satisfaction, but the need for. a similar one-day service southwards from Auckland still exists. An alteration to the proposed time-table to en able a connection with tho southbound plane at Palmerston North would be greatly appreciated. The chamber suggests departure from Auck land at 8.15 a.m. instead of noon, as proposed.
