Viscount Bledisloe, addressing members of the agricultural and forest services of the Empire overseas, at Rothamstoad, said that £IO,OOO spent on soil research might lead to benefit to the extent oi £500,000. He would suggest that £IO,OOO should be given by each part of the Empire as an endowment to Rothamstead when it celebrates its centenary in 1943.
