More Hastings Births
FEWER MARRIAGES RECORDED From Our Own Correspondent. HASTINGS, May 4. A substantial increase m the number of. births and a big decrease in the number of marriage licences issued are features of the vital etatistics for the Hastings district for last month, compared with the April figures of last year. The figures, aB supplied by th* Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages, Mr W. M. Will, are as follow: 1938 1937 Births 34 50 Deaths 13 8 Marriages 23 9 Last month one marriage service wa* performed by the Registrar as against three during the same period last year* It should be noted that Easter fell in April of last year and this would account for the more licences issued.
