The spectaclo of an 18-months-old oaby boy toddling resolutely along the street, clad in nothing but his birthday suit, delighted residents in a Christchurch suburb recently. A subsequent chase by tho child’s mother caused further merriment, especially when neighbours had to be called in to head the youngster off. The explanation of the incident was that the mother, while dressing the child, had been called away to attend to a tradesman. Tho child, grasping his opportunity, slipped out of the front door and the open gato and was well away before he was missed.
