Fair to Cloudy in Most Districts Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. An intense anti-cyclone still covers the New Zealand area, with its centre to the east. The pressure is relatively low to the north, and a fairly deep depression is at present centred over south-eastern Australia. Winds: Light to moderate variable winds, mainly between south-east and north-east at first, but strong easterlies in the far north and later winds becoming northerly generally and freshening. ►Seas (New Zealand waters): Rough north of East Cape; elsewhere slight to moderate, but rising later in the Cook Strait area. Eastern Tasman Sea: Moderate to strong cast to north-east winds, with rather rough seas. Weather: Fair to cloudy in most dis tricts, but scattered rains are still probable in the far northern and north eastern portions of the North Island, and cloud gradually increasing generally; mist or fog at times in coastal areas, especially in the South Island Temperatures rising.
