Fatal Motor Collision

MOTOR-CYCLIST KTLTYP.p INSTANTANEOUSLY Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, Last Night. A fatal collision between a motorcycle and a car on hhe main south road, two miles north of Milton last night, resulted in the death of William George McLean, aged 34, a labourer employed by the Public Works Department, lie ceased was riding a cycle, which was said to have been uuligihted, towards Milton shortly before 9 o’clock when he collided with a car driven by Ernest John Velvin, a University student. The cycle struck the rigiht-hand mudguard of the car and was smashed to pieces. Deceased suffered terrible head injuries and death was instan taneous.

The owner of the car, John Douglas Duncan, and two women were passengers. The women were admitted to the Milton hospital with slight head injuries and shock but were discharged this morning. The driver also suffered slight head injuries and is still in hospital.

Deceased was a married man and is believed to have come from- the Karon district.
