INQUIRY FOLLOWING GREENMEADOWS HANDICAP (From Our Own Correspondent.) NAPIER, Last Night. Following the running of the Greenmeadows Handicap, the principal event of the day at the Napier Park races on {Saturday, au inquiry was opened into an alleged interference to Black Fox by King’s Lancer, ridden by Percy Atkins, a well-known jockey, of Hastings. The evidence of several witnesses was heard and the proceedings were completed to-night. After consideration of the evidence, the judicial committee returned the following finding:— “The committee considers that, after hearing the evidence of all the riders in the race, the trainer of Black Fox, the owner of King’s Lancer, Mr. J. Miller, and Mr. B. N. Sandilands, stipendiary steward, interference, negligent or incompetent riding was not proved against Atkins. ’ ’
