has been on a short visit, to Apltl and stayed with Mr W. M. Duncan. School Root Crops. The school children’s root crop plots were inspected on Friday. The chairman of the school committee, Mr 11. Wlldbore, and the head teacher, Mr A. W. Bird, accompanied Mr Robbie, of Feilding, t<> inspect eight l<*al plots entered in the competition. The records have yet to be marked and the competitors will be notified later of thair marks in the competition
