From Our Own Correspondent* Keen disappointment was experienced by the children of the district when the prixe-glvlngs, both at the school and Sunday school, were postponed. The holidays would have been so pleasantly spent in reading prize books. With this fact in view Mr E. P. Nielsen, superintendent of the Sunday school, devised the plan of distributing the Sunday school prizes to the scholars at their homes. For this purTHjse the services of a Santa Claus were requistioned and great was the delight of receiving the coveted prizes from his hand. At each homo where there were children not yet attending Sunday school little gifts were left so that no child was without a present. The following is the list of the prizes presented: Senior. — Philip Nielsen 1, Loran Richardson 2,

Infants.—Lyn Nielsen, Valerie Rowland, Helen, Snirley and Patricia McEwen, Noe’ir.c-, Joyce and Don Hawke, Margaret Bindon, Eileen Vickery. Personal Mr and Airs Al. Richardson, accompanied by two daughters, have returned from their holiday spent at Paraparamu. Aliss J. Bindon, of Hamilton, has been the guest of Air and Airs Croucher. Air and Airs A. Williamson, of Wellington, are the guests of Mr and Mrs D. Buchanan. Air A. Aiken, late of Kollegal, South India, was the guest of Air and Mrs K. I’. Nielsen during the week-end. Air H. H. Christensen is on a holiday visit to’ Wellington.
