MARCHIONESS’S NEW THEATRE VENTURE Theatre seats at bargain prices is to bo the policy of a new venture which the Marchioness Townsend is hclpiug to pioneer in London. A new syndicate called All People’s Theatre Limited, has been formed, with Lady Townsend as chairman, and the intention is to present West End plays, acted by West End casts, with seat prices ranging from one to six shillings, inclusive of tax. The plays will bo staged at the Winter Garden Theatre. Lady Townsend, who was at one time associated on the production side with Sir Herbert Tree at His Majesty's told tho Daily Sketch she was taking an active part in the new enterprise because she believed very large numbers of peoplo would go to theatre regularly if they could afford it.
