Obituary

MRS, W. C. SIMPSON. A wide circle of friends will learn with regret of the death of Mrs. Wilhclmina Christina Simpson, who passed away early on Tuesday morning. Her death followed an illness extending over a period of several years. The late Mrs. Simpson was born at Kaitangata, Otago, in 1878 and there spent her life with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, until her marriage to the late Mr. George Simpson. After residence successively in Christchurch and Masterton, Mr. and Mrs. Simpson settled in Palmerston North almost 19 years ago, making their home in Roy street. Mrs. Simpson’s husband predeceased her exactly three years ago, but with her family she remained in Palmerston North until last year, when ill-health made it necessary for her to give up her home. For the past threo months she had been seriously ill. Members of the family who mourn the loss of a devoted mother are Mr. Allan G. N. Simpson, of the Post and Telegraph Department, Mr. J. W. Simpson, of the Public Trust Office, Palmerston North; Mr. F. A. Simpson, of Auckland, Mr. A. E. Simpson, of Wellington, and Miss M. M. Simpson, of Palmerston North.
