MATCH AGAINST DANNEVIRKE A team front tho Dannevirke Tennis Club visited tho Feilding Lawn Tennis Club over the week-end for an all-day match which resulted in a win for the visitors by 19 matches and 35 sets to 13 matches and 27 sets. Barnett, on behalf of tho Dannevirko team, said how very much they had enjoyed the dr.v, and hoped it would not be long before a return visit could bo arranged. He complimented the Feilding Club on the excellent condition of the courts. Air. C. H. Tate, the president of the Feilding Club, suitably replied and moved a special vote of thanks to the ladies who had charge of the catering arrangements. Ranking Matches. A further series of ranking matches has been arranged by.the Feilding Tennis Club as follows, and games aro to be played before Wednesday, December 10: Alen: Darragh v. Julian; Wilkinson v. McGruer; Telford v. Patton; Humphrey v. Groombridge; Wilsou v. Reid. Ladies: Aiiss Spence v. Miss Ellerm; Airs. Lawrence v. Aiiss Garlick; Airs. Caldwell v. Aiiss Sargisson; Mrs. Darragh v. Aiiss T. Carthew; Aiiss K. Carthew v. Miss Eliott. Any other members wishing to take part in these matches are requested to sign their names on the sheet placed in tho pavilion. Yesterday afternoon members of the Feilding Tennis Club entertained a’ number of girls from Nga Tatva School, Alarton, at practice games.
