Pluto (11.1.)), of Australia, had a comfortable win on points over ITaroid Reeve (11.-lj), of l’ahiatuu, the Dominion cruiser-weight champion. Pluto was faster with his hands and. in footwork and Reeve’s style suited him. The amateur contests results were:— R. Davis (Hawke’s Bay) heat L. McMahon; N. James (Te Karaku) beat I'. Marsh.
