George Arliss Asked to Wait
When George Ariiss, soon to be seen in the new Gaumont-British picture, “His Lordship,” called on a prominent studio executive recently, he w r as met at the door by a new commissionaire. The man failed to recognise him, and being evidently no film fan, showed no signs of recognition when Mr Ariiss gave his name. "If you don’t mind waiting a mo-ment,-sir, I’ll ask if Mr So-and-So can see you.”
Georgo Arliss thoroughly enjoyed the situation and Stayed in the waitingroom until ho was called l'or.
