Soviet Admit Arresting Fourteen Germans
FOURTEEN GERMANS. 'PROTEST REJECTED. United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. MOSCOW, November 16. The Government has rejected the Serman Embassy’s protest against the espionage arrests, which Germany alleges number twelve in Leningrad, nine in Moscow, and two in the provinces. The Soviet admits taking fourteen Germans into custody. Guarding British Embassy NO REPLY FROM AMBASSADOR. LONDON, November IC. In the House of Commons Mr. A. &den, replying to Sir John Davison, said he had not received a report concerning the guarding of the Embassy at Moscow from the Ambassador, who could bo relied on to keep him informed of any important developments at the Embassy.
