Pilots Take “Busman’s Holiday”
WILL FLY AS MANY TYPES OF MACHINES AS POSSIBLE Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Last Night. Not content with flying airliners on the daily service between Palmerston North and Dunedin, two Union Airways pilots, Messrs. C. M. Dutliio and K. A. Brownjohn were to leave Auckland for Australia by the Awatea this afternoon bent oil a flying holiday. With all the enthusiasm of airmen to increase their flying experience the two aim at flying as many types of machines as possible in the time available to them. Both have already had experience on a number of types in New Zealand and have made plans to act as co-pilots on one trip of the Qantas Empire Airways from Brisbane to Singapore and back. They expect to bo absent from New Zealand three weeks or a month.
