Summer Sport in Feilding
RAIN SPOILS TENNIS OPENINGS. Summer sport enthusiasts of I Gilding and district found their plans for tho opening of tho tennis season frustrated by heavy rain intervening at mid-day. St. John’s and St. Paul’s tennis clubs were to have conducted official openiugs, but the chaugo in the weather compelled tho abandonment of any ceremony. These courts, however, are to bo considered as open for the new season and should nest Saturday prove fine, the games arranged will bo played.
