St. Brigid’s Tennis Club
SEASON OPENED. St. Brigid’s Tennis Club, Feilding, officially opened its season over tho week-end, when Mr. G. E. Pollock (president) welcomed a large attendance of members as well as of visiting players. Tho club’s patron, Rev. Father Brooks, was also in attendance and extended a cordial welcome to all. Airs. Pollock served tho first ball ot the season, and the players then took part in a Yankee tournament with the following visiting clubs represented: Cheltenham, Waiata, St. John's and Colyton. The winners were as follows: — Ladies’ section: Aliss G. Christie; men’s section, W. Worsfold.
