P.N. MEET SHANNON On Saturday To Matai players entertained a team of players from ttio Shannon Golf Club. Results were as under, the visitors being mentioned first:— Singles: Macedo beat J. Ramsay, Morgan lost to Walsh, Bovis lost to Wills, Boyd lost to Reid, Ostler lost to Goddard, Blackwood lost to Smith, McDonald beat Roche, Moody lost to Duncalf, Cronquest lost to Dc Cleene, Edwards halved with Hill, Thurston lost to Webster, Murrow lost to Hill, King lost to Cook, Symonds lost to French, Four-ball: Macedo and Morgan beat Ramsay and Walsh, Bovis and Boyd lost to Wills and Reid, Ostler and Blackwood lost to Goddard and Smith, McDonald and Moody lost to Duncalt and Roche, Cronquest and Edwards lost to De Cleene and Hill, Thurston and Murrow lost to Webster and Hill, King and Sy’moiids lost to French and Cook. The result was a win for To Matai. Schoolboys’ Competition A competition was held at the Manawatu Club during tho holidays foxschoolboys.
