Jolly Kitchen Evening
BRIDE-TO-BE HONOURED
The home of Mrs J. Wass, Chelwood street, was the scene of a jolly function recently, when about 30 young people gathered to honour Miss Louie Patten, whose marriage to Mr Lyle Bennett Smith takes place shortly. Tko evening took the form of a kitchen tea and games and dancing happily occupied the guests. After supper, Miss Patten was called upon to open a pleasing range of gifts, which should prove very useful in her new home. Mr Smith returned thanks. The function concluded at midnight with “Auld Lang Syne.”
