Russian Wedding
CROWNS HELD BY GROOMSMEN. An English girl was married with picturesque Russian rites in London on Juno 3 '(states tho Daily Telegraph). Prince and Princess Vladimir Galitzino and Prince Nicolas Calitzine, tho Marquis and Marquise Vivien de Chatcaubrun, and Lord and Lady Dawson of .Penn were among those at the Russian wedding ceremony in St. Philip’s Church, Buckingham Palace road, when M. ■ Vladimir Heroys married Miss Shiela Mary Walton, daughter of Sir James and Lady Walton. At this late afternoon service the ritual was observed, by carrying the Ikon and lighted candles. Crowns wero held over the heads of tho bride and bridegroom by groomsmen. ; The' chureih was lavishly decorated with blue and white flowers, delphinium, spirea, and pink larkspur. General Heroys was Chief of Stall in the College for Imperial Footguards, and commanded the Ismailovsky regiment during the war. Sir James, who gave his daughter away, was appointed a surgeon to the late King’s Household in 1930. Instead of bridesmaids following tho bride five groomsmen attended the bridegroom. Chalk white crepe made the bride’s gown, with white lace appliqued to the bodice, which was finished' with a Medici collar.
