An interesting talk to members of the Junior Library was given by Mr. J. B. Fleck on “Home Life in the 14th Century.” He dealt with food, speaking of the importance of salt,’ honey as the only substitute . for sugar, and meat as tho only substitute for Winter vegetables; clothing, there ' being no cotton in those , days; houses, and toys. He. concluded his address by dealing with tho feudal ■ system.
