MEETING OP EXECUTIVE.

Tho executive of the Bush Basketball Association mot on Friday evening to finalise matters in connection with the southern tour of tho representative team. There has had to be another alteration in the representative team, B. Smith, of Woodville, not being available, and M.- Lovell has been put into tho defenas and.J. Honry has taken her place in the centre. The girls leave here on Monday, August 24, at 12 noon, and take the boat to Christchurch that night, play commencing on the Wednesday. Mrs Russell will act as delegate to the association and will also act as manageress of the team. It was decided to hold a junior night tournament for boys' and girls’ teams on Monday next. A ehargo of 6d will be made to all players and onlookers. Two Island Bay (Wellington) teams wrote asking for two games on Saturday next, 15th inst. As the girls are mostly working on that day, it has been decided to play the games on Saturday night, about 9 o’clock and 10 o’clock. The two teams intend staying in Pahiatua until the Sunday. The association is very grateful to these teams for making such a long trip, and it is also good practice for the representative A team before they make their trip south. Tho senior B team will play the second Wellington team. The committee also decided to hold a huge night tournament on Monday week, the 17th inst., for senior men and girls. A girls’ and men’s team from Dannevirke are entering and also Woolworths, of Palmerston North.
