The wild pigs on the northern coast, of Stewart Island have discovered that young muttonbirds are good, states a correspondent of the Southland News. Fishermen who havo occasionally landed in tlicso parts to shoot deer have seen evidence of the pigs rooting among the muttonbird burrows and feathers and down strewn about. Wild pigs are steadily spreadirj along the coast.
